Your Nutritionist

Meet Vivian

Help you improve your relationship with food and help you find a balance that lasts.

She thinks she’s pretty funny (bless her heart!), and loves to add a splash of sass in all things! Vivian is passionate about helping her clients improve their relationship with food and their body and she’s all about rejecting toxic diet culture! Originally from Panama, Vivian developed a love for food and cooking at an early age as she and her mom always spent time in the kitchen together. She believes that all foods fit within a healthy lifestyle and focusing on the foods that we CAN eat is the best approach to overall well-being. During her free time, Vivian loves to cook, hang out with her husband and her cute baby puppy, Oliver, and she loves to do anything outside!

Vivian Schemper is a licensed and registered dietitian nutritionist. She graduated from an accredited dietetic internship program from The Pennsylvania State University. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human nutrition and dietetics from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and a bachelor of arts in public health from the University of Colorado – Denver. Vivian has professional experience in epidemiology, food safety, clinical nutrition, weight management, and health coaching. Vivian has helped thousands of clients reach their wellness and weight goals.

She eats one avocado every single day, and she eats way too much cauliflower.

Working out, crying, and wine. In that order. 😉

The Story So Far

PERSONAL TRAINER + FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Growing up as an athlete and performer, I was always passionate about fitness and helping others.  While in college, I became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, then began a career working in gyms with all types of clients and classes.

THE START OF BODYFIT BY AMY

After years of working as a trainer and fitness instructor in gyms, my husband suggested we start a fitness YouTube channel in 2014. We cleared some space, bought some camera gear, and started making videos on the weekend, while also both working full time. That first year we made 100 videos, and we learned a lot, and wanted to keep the community growing.

what i did next

As we grew and the BodyFit by Amy community expanded, we added a monthly email and workout calendar and released several ebooks and programs. My workouts have always reflected where I am today, so when I got pregnant with my first child it was natural for me to shoot and share prenatal and postnatal videos. Through my own journey, I was able to connect with moms around the world during their pregnancy and postpartum journeys.

the other thing that happened

The BodyFit by Amy channel and community continued to grow organically, but when the pandemic hit in March of 2020, it went to an entirely different level. This community was a lifeline for me, and I felt like in a small way I was able to do my part by providing an online space for fitness.

where I’m going

The experience of 2020 showed me that the BodyFit community could have an even greater transformational impact. Vivian, our registered dietitian, joined us full time and in January of 2021, we reimagined the traditional gym experience with an international, virtual gym by launching the BodyFit Athletic Club. The result has been amazing, with over 500 people joining in the first 4 months.

The journey never ends, join me?
