It’s Love Month

This is an older pic, but one of my favorites of my loves, taken right after my daughter was born.  It’s my wallpaper on my phone, and the photo I come back to when I need a smile, or a reminder or why I want to stay healthy.

Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away, and whether or not you have a “Valentine” we all have people in our lives that we love, and that love us.

This makes it the perfect time to really shift our perspective when it comes to health and fitness.  So much of January is spent focusing on ourselves–New Year’s Resolutions, Self Care, Setting Personal Goals and Intentions.  And there’s nothing wrong with that, but sometimes we can get a little lost in the self motivation, and forget that being our healthiest self is the greatest gift we can give those we love.

So this month, take some time to reflect on how working out and eating well will benefit those around you;  how being healthy makes you a better partner, parent, friend, and coworker.  And on those cold hard days when it’s hard to get the workout in, or you want to grab the convenience processed food—find your photo like mine above….your family, your spouse, your best friends, your work buddies, your fur baby….and remember it’s not just for you.  It’s for them.
