Summer is over. The holidays are coming. And somewhere in between… there’s October. 🍂

Maybe your workout routine made it through summer without missing a beat. Maybe September was such a whirlwind that you’re still not totally sure what day it is. Or maybe you’ve been telling yourself you’ll get back into it “when things calm down.” (Spoiler: they rarely do. 😂)

The good news is you don’t have to wait for a calmer season, and you don’t need to work out seven days a week or live at the gym to build a routine that sticks. Most of the time, what you really need is a plan you don’t have to think about.

That’s exactly why I created the FREE 4-Week Sweat & Sculpt Challenge.

Every week for the next four weeks, you’ll get:

  • 3 strength workouts 💪
  • 1 cardio workout 🔥
  • 1 active recovery workout ✨

Every workout is 30 minutes or less; you can do it all at home, and the entire challenge is free on YouTube. I’ve already picked the workouts and put them in order, so you can skip the scrolling and second-guessing. Just show up and press play.

Let’s Sweat & Sculpt!

What Is the Sweat & Sculpt Challenge?

The Sweat & Sculpt Challenge is a FREE four-week home workout program designed to help you build strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, and create a consistent workout routine that fits into real life.

Each week includes five workouts:

  • 3 strength workouts to build muscle, functional strength, and confidence.
  • 1 cardio workout to get your heart pumping and challenge your cardiovascular fitness.
  • 1 active recovery workout to work on mobility, flexibility, and recovery.

And because we know you have other things to do, every workout is 25–30 minutes or less.

That’s 20 workouts over four weeks, with a mix of strength, cardio, mobility, dumbbells, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises, and more to keep things challenging and fun.

Best of all? The entire challenge is available FREE on the BodyFit by Amy YouTube channel.

Why Sweat AND Sculpt?

A well-rounded workout routine doesn’t have to be one or the other.

SWEAT is about getting your heart pumping.

Cardiovascular exercise challenges your heart and lungs, builds endurance, supports cardiovascular and metabolic health, and helps you feel more conditioned for everything you do outside your workouts.

SCULPT is about getting stronger.

Strength training helps you build and maintain muscle, supports bone health, improves functional strength, and helps you stay strong and capable as you age.

But there’s another piece we don’t want to forget: recovery.

That’s why every week also includes an active recovery workout focused on mobility, flexibility, and intentional movement.

Strength. Cardio. Recovery.

Instead of trying to squeeze everything into every workout, we’re spreading it across your week — giving you opportunities to challenge your body and opportunities to recover.

Why October Is a Great Time to Reset Your Workout Routine

January gets all the credit for fresh starts, but I’m making a case for October. 🍂

Summer schedules are behind us, school and work routines have mostly settled in, and the holiday chaos hasn’t hit yet. It’s one of the few stretches of the year when things feel a little more predictable, which makes it a great time to check in on how your movement routine is actually going.

If it’s been hit-or-miss lately, you don’t have to wait until January 1 to start again. If you’re already feeling strong and consistent, you don’t need to invent a big new goal just to have one. Use these four weeks to keep the momentum going. And if life has been LIFE-ING lately (I see you 🙋‍♀️), there’s nothing to make up for. You just start where you are.

My hope is that these four weeks help you find your rhythm before the end-of-year rush. That doesn’t mean doing more. It means building a routine you’ll actually want to come back to. You don’t have to be perfect for 28 days. What we’re after is consistency that lasts long after the challenge is over.

Your Sweat & Sculpt Weekly Workout Schedule

Here’s what your week looks like:

  • Monday: Strength
  • Tuesday: Cardio
  • Wednesday: Strength
  • Thursday: Active Recovery
  • Friday: Strength
  • Saturday + Sunday: Rest, recovery, or optional movement

Simple, right?

3 Strength + 1 Cardio + 1 Active Recovery.

Throughout the four weeks, we’ll mix up the workouts, formats, equipment, and exercises so you’re getting variety while still following a consistent weekly structure.

And as always, I’ll give you options and modifications along the way.

Take the option that works for you. Choose the weights that challenge you. Modify when you need to.

This is your workout. I’m just here to guide you through it.

Who Is This 4-Week Workout Challenge For?

Sweat & Sculpt is for you if you want to:

  • Get stronger and build muscle with consistent strength training
  • Improve your cardio and endurance
  • Follow a structured plan instead of picking random workouts every day
  • Fit effective at-home workouts into a busy schedule
  • Get back into a routine after some time off, or keep your momentum going

Maybe you’re starting over, maybe you’re starting for the first time, or maybe you’ve been here all along and just want someone to tell you what to do tomorrow. 😅 Either way, you’re in the right place.

You don’t need to hit a certain fitness level before you start. Every workout includes options so you can choose the intensity that works for your body.

What Equipment Do You Need?

We’re keeping equipment simple, too.

For most Sweat & Sculpt workouts, you’ll need:

  • Dumbbells
  • A mat
  • Space to move
  • An optional kettlebell for additional variations

If you have multiple sets of dumbbells, keep them nearby so you can adjust your weight depending on the exercise.

And remember: don’t be afraid to challenge yourself with your weights.

If you’ve been using the same dumbbells for a while, this challenge can be a great opportunity to experiment with going heavier when it makes sense.

Not sure what “heavy” actually means? Check out my guide to lifting heavier and choosing the right weights here.

What If You Can’t Do Five Workouts Every Week?

Then do four. Or three. I promise the challenge police aren’t coming. 😂

There are five workouts on the calendar each week because that’s what a well-rounded week of strength, cardio, and recovery looks like, not because you have to hit all five for it to “count.” Real life doesn’t care about your workout calendar. Kids get sick, work runs late, and some weeks you’re just plain tired.

If you miss a day, skip it and pick up with the next workout. Don’t double up on Wednesday to make up for Tuesday, and please don’t go back to Day 1 because you took a long weekend. And if you need a few extra rest days and your 4-week challenge turns into a 5-week challenge, that’s totally fine. You’re still doing the challenge.

Short on time and have to choose? Prioritize the strength workouts. Those three days are the backbone of the plan.

What Can You Accomplish in Four Weeks?

Let’s be honest: four weeks won’t completely change your body, and I’m not going to pretend it will. I’ll leave the 28-day miracle promises to someone else.

…But four weeks is plenty of time to notice some things. Maybe you grab the heavier dumbbells for your goblet squats and realize they don’t feel so heavy anymore. Maybe cardio day still has you breathing hard, but you’re catching your breath faster between rounds. Maybe getting off the floor feels a little smoother, or carrying all the groceries in one trip (we all do it) feels easier.

The win I’m hoping for most is the least flashy one, though. I hope that by Week 4, working out feels like a normal part of your week again, rather than something you keep meaning to get back to. That’s the kind of consistency that carries you through the holidays and into next year, no January “fresh start” required.

Your October Reset Starts Now 🍂

You don’t need a perfect month or a ton of motivation to start this. You need about 30 minutes, some dumbbells, and a plan, and the plan is done.

So here’s my ask for the next four weeks: press play, pick weights that challenge you, take your recovery days seriously, and modify whenever you need to. Then come back next time and do it again.

I’ll be right there on the screen cheering you on (and probably sweating as much as you are).
